A Senior Writer and Creative in the health, medical, and wellness space, I work with clients to successfully communicate across multiple channels to drive impact, increase awareness, sales, and brand recognition. I am a storyteller who takes readers on a journey, putting myself both in the shoes of the brand to develop and implement its unique voice and tone, and of the target audience to feel their deepest desires and wants - thereby understanding how to best convey a message that moves, engages, and connects.
As evidenced with my work for clients such as Mayo Clinic and global pharmaceutical and health companies, I am passionate about developing content and strategy that moves readers to action and am skilled at making complex terminology easily relatable.
At the core of all my content and strategy is my health advocacy experience, leveraging certifications in holistic health and fitness, along with ten years working with UCLA medical students on their clinical and interpersonal skills. Further, as a breast cancer survivor and carrier of the BRCA1 cancer gene mutation, I created a platform through writing, speaking, and performing to share my story as a means to empower women, deliver information, and raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, the BRCA gene mutation, and early ovarian cancer detection. As part of that, I enjoy building partnerships with non-profit organizations, patients, healthcare practitioners, and cancer survivors, including leading writing workshops for cancer patients at USC Norris AYA program and Cancer Support Community. I am also an award-winning playwright.
